Who is Victoria E Benoit?
She’s Victoria. Not Vikki, not Tori, definitely not Ria. For those without a background in (not quite) French, that last name is pronounced Ben-wah, not Ben-oyt.
If she had to claim somewhere as home, Louisiana is the closest there is to the concept. Spending her teenage years in a small, religious town was a stark contrast from her happy Pacific Northwest childhood. Books were her escape. A fantasy enthusiast, Victoria immersed herself in the worlds of Middle Earth and Narnia when the small town life got too dull and oppressive.
She found her way to the romance genre during a dark period. Like many women who enjoy a good romance novel, she found in books what she wasn’t finding in real life. The idea for her first novel (now turned series) came in the second year of her doomed six year marriage. It was eventually set aside as the real world got in the way, as it often does. However, as all authors know, the characters wouldn’t let Victoria out of their grasp.
Years after she fled to freedom, Victoria is living her best life as a full time nomad. All her worldly possessions can fit in the back of her trusty Subaru Outback. She loves seeing different parts of the country as her day job takes her to new and exciting places. Follow her on socials to see updates on her writing as well as bits from her many adventures.
